I've enjoyed photography, and in particular underwater photography, for almost 40 years now (and yes I know I should be better at it after all that time!).

I started with a Kodak 110 in an Ikelite housing, transitioned through the Nikonos series (II & IVa), and finally ended up in the digital world. I particularly enjoy the quality and compactness of the micro 4/3 format and, after being a die-hard Olympus EPL user (1,2 & 5), just made the switch to a Panasonic GX7. I use a variety of micro 4/3 Olympus and Panasonic lenses. For my underwater work I am using a Nauticam housing with dome and macro ports, and Sea&Sea YS-D1 strobes.

Our tools keep getting better, but the basics of photography remain the same. Seeing and experiencing the world around us in a never-ending challenge to capture the perfect image (or video :)).

Let me know if you have any suggestions for improvement or other comments!

Sincerely,
Mike Quinn
